Closing the digital divide, one tablet at a time.
I volunteer at senior care centers teaching elderly residents how to use digital devices and apps. I organize student volunteers into small groups so each senior gets patient, personalized instruction.

01
Digital Education
Teach device usage and everyday apps — video calls, messaging, KakaoTalk, banking, text-size adjustments, scam awareness — in small groups.
02
Team Organization
Recruit student volunteers before school starts and divide them into groups so every senior gets patient, one-on-one attention.

What I've learned
The technology part is actually the easy half. The harder work is respect — remembering that the people I'm teaching have decades of expertise I don't, and that being unfamiliar with a device is not the same as being incapable. That reframing is central to how I think about aging, dignity, and who gets left behind when society changes quickly.

The link to my larger question
AI is already accelerating the same divide. If we don't build systems that bring people along, entire generations will be pushed further out of the labor market and social life. This is where my interests in sociology, psychology, and technology meet — and where I want to keep working.
